Ingredients:
- 500 g kadaif
- 200 g walnuts
- 150-200 g butter (or oil)
- 50 g raisins
- 800 g sugar
- 1,2 l water
- 1 lemon
Preparation:
- Rub the pan with butter and place half of kadaif in the pan.
- Place crushed nuts mixed with raisins, sprinkle with butter and place the other half of kadaif noodles.
- Sprinkle with the rest of the butter on top and place in oven to bake for 40 minutes or until golden.
- Boil water, sugar and 1 lemon cut in slices. When kadaif is cold, cut in squares and pour over the hot syrup. Leave to soak overnight.
